I could be reading 117 books per year... https://www.omnicalculator.com/every...t-social-media

I read about it in this article. I didn't actually read Digital Minimalism (no time to read) but I did delete all social media apps from my phone and put my Kindle app front and center. Now if I feel like I need to stare at my phone I read a book instead of zombie scrolling through FB.

Good trailer. I mean, also bad trailer, because it gives everything away. But for a trailer made 40 years after the movie, very good.

Here's an interesting movie. Jallikattu killed it at the Toronto Film Festival:

In a village in the Indian state of Kerala, life carries on in a rhythmically repetitive fashion: men wake up, go to work, ignore their wives, eat, drink, sleep, repeat. Then a buffalo intended for the local butcher breaks free and sparks an absolute frenzy, with every man aiming to prove his worth by being the one to capture it first. Director Lijo Jose Pellissery’s film is a chaotic treatise on toxic male pride and humanity’s worst impulses, and hits some incredibly visceral highs, including one shot toward the end that seems like it cost the lives of dozens, if not hundreds, of actual human beings. But the madness is also repetitive, and even if that’s the point, it doesn’t wholly excuse one of the most unnecessary “we-get-it!” final shots in recent memory. Still, when Jallikattu lets it rip, it’s as exciting and unusual an experience as you’re likely to get this year. Grab it by its horns and don’t dare let go.
IMDB calls it a crime movie, Rotten Tomatoes says it's a cross between Fury Road and Jaws.

Watching football today, this trailer came on. My soul died. All future erections simultaneously went flaccid. They turned Walton Goggins into an unfunny Alan Thicke.

But, on the bright side, googling up that trailer led me to this one. This looks like fun:

If you're not watching The Good Place you're missing out.

    This bit slew me:

Watch until roughly the ~10 minute mark. Mike's got some of the best comedic timing on the internet.

EDIT: An accidental one later in the video:
