I feel like that's not accurate.

    You're real bad at Leoric.

I do tend to treat Leoric as more disposable than the average tank, since he provides value even while dead (recon) and respawns faster and doesn't have to run from the fountain (can respawn right in the middle of a teamfight). So I engage harder, stick around longer, etc. But still, 21.9 deaths on average? Give me a break.

I've re-installed the game. Not because I'm interested at all in it, but because my kids like to play. They must have reworked the AI because it's actually hard to win. I've tried Basic and Recruit level AI and my team is always just slightly worse than the other team. One game Ruby chose a Warrior and I chose an assassin and the 3 bots all chose Support; the other team had 1 Support. That was a rough game.

They also nerfed my go-to hero for a fairly quick and easy win, Butcher. You really don't get to be unstoppable like you used to.

Sounds like those AI tweaks are really working

haha what they finally did it omg

Also visible: a Firebat hero. At least the constant flow of Overwatch has paused once or twice in the past year.

    "Lorenado"

Just fired up HOTS for the first time in... ooooh, a year or more... and played my three brawls for the week. It's an ARAM, which is always fun. In my third one, I got Brightwing on a team of four assassins, and I (almost) kept them all up. Could definitely have avoided 1 of the 2 deaths except I misclicked with my ult.

The other team had two Moraleses for some reason, and I healed nearly as much as the two of them combined! Brightwing is a beast.

EDIT: With this squishy team, their Xul should have been able to clean up, except I noticed they gave Brightwing's trait a buff at some point: you can activate it with D to remove roots/slows/stuns from people in a zone. Holy shit! So every time I heard Xul's "bhwhoaaaaah" sound in a bad situation, I popped that shit off.

Huh, neat. They split up all the hero classes:

Warrior is now Tank (Johanna) and Bruiser (Sonya).

It is good and right that the likes of Leoric and Artanis (now Bruisers) will no longer be expected to "tank." Interestingly, guys like Thrall and Xul have been moved into the Bruiser category too. Damage with sustain = Bruiser.

Assassins now come in Melee (Butcher) and Ranged (Li-Ming) flavors.

Even more interestingly, Gazlowe is now a melee assassin, and Nazeebo, Probius, Azmodan, Sylvanas, and Sgt. Hammer are all ranged assassins. Vaguely defined "Specialists" no more! It makes sense. If your "specialty" is dealing damage...

Support is now Healer (Brightwing) and Support (Medivh).

Tassadar. Where does he fit? On one hand, just like I'm happy Sonya doesn't have to "tank," I'm happy Tass won't be expected to "heal." On the other hand, he was one of the most effective healers in the game, despite his inability to do it. Well, Blizz put him in with the Supports, so there's your answer. Support also now includes Zarya and Abathur. Handy folks who can't heal, I guess, is the criterion.

Specialists no longer exist. It is good.

I saw that they were doing that. It's interesting but I'm not into it enough to really care
