Here's a pretty meaty Logan review for you to chew on, but it's a little spoilery so maybe wait until you've seen it, which you should.
I saw it this past weekend and I pretty much agree with your review, Mac, but I had a different problem with it:
Dr. Xavier's death was really anticlimactic. First of all I spent a few minutes figuring it was a dream sequence because 'Wolverine' killed him and we didn't yet know there was a Wolverine clone out there. It was only later that I realized what was going on and by then Xavier was long dead. The death of a central character like Xavier should have been handled differently in my opinion. As a fan of the franchise I wanted to really feel it when he died. This way it was more "oops he's dead, bummer".

Pretty good Thor trailer!
Seems like they're tying in some Guardians of the Galaxy type stuff. Working it all into one Universe, so we can be overwhelmed and annoyed by Infinity War.
Cate Blanchett looks amazing as Hela.
As much as I didn't care for Luke Cage, I'm kind of excited by this. It looks sweet, and it's got a (nearly) all-black cast, a black director, black writers... it should be an interesting take on the MCU with some form of legitimacy. That was all mostly true about Luke Cage too, I just... didn't like it. Anyway: Black Panther! It's less Urban, more African!
This shit sounds like my worst nightmare. It gonna suck.
Great review of a great movie! If you ain't seen Logan yet, dooo iiiiit.
I'm suddenly so much more interested in Squirrel Girl!

Starting to really look more like GOTG 2.5 than Thor Ragnarok but I'll still see it anyway!
