    CHALLENGE!

    Here's a challenge for you ...

Can you find a ready to use template for laser cutting the controller for an arcade type controller?

    I bought a kit with a joystick & 10 buttons. (8) 30mm buttons and (2) 23.5mm buttons.

    Please and thank you!

What format do you need it in? This guy has an SVG file on his github.

Thanks. Yes, I googlez it, but didn't find the actual plans anywhere. Thus the "asking for help" part of my plan.

Looking for something akin to this...

What's your comfort level with using something like Adobe Illustrator? I've done a fair amount of laser cutting and almost always draw up my designs in Illustrator (or some similar vector drawing software). As long as you have accurate measurements, which you appear to have, based on that graphic you attached in the first post, you should have little trouble laying something out. I do noticed that you have no measurements for the mounting screw holes for the joystick, so make sure you get those as well, diameter as well as specific offset measurements to the center points of those holes.

Well, I tried. Note that I linked to an SVG, and asked what format you need your template in.

I assume your laser cutting robot machine has some form of interface, and requires that you communicate with it in a particular way. You still haven't really supplied any details, other than some measurements and a picture.

It's a Glowforge, which apparently has all sorts of compatibility. I use CAD software everyday and do plenty of engineering so I certainly have the capability to design, draft, and print my own thing, but I'm on a tight schedule so I was trying to just reuse a design rather than invent my own wheel.

No worries, my other plan is to dig through my basement and freehand something. I don't need no stinkin' laser machine! I gots a Dremmel and glue!

Did you check thingiverse yet? It's the default place to get both 3D printing and laser cutting designs. I should have pointed it out in my initial comment, didn't think of it until now
