    Yogurt

My parents got my wife and me a "Tasty Pot" pressure cooker for Christmas, which is actually some kind of 7-in-1 multiple use device. One of the functions is "yogurt maker," and I quite like yogurt, so I thought I'd give it a try.

Half a gallon of whole milk, two tablespoons of "starter" with live, active cultures later, and I have some of the most delicious yogurt I've ever tasted. Full fat yogurt is hard to find on the shelf (here in CA, anyway) because everyone thinks 0% fat is awesome, then they wonder why they hate the taste of yogurt. Assholes.

Starter... used two tablespoons, drank the rest, very tasty:

Here's the whey I got out of the yogurt, in a few hours of chilling and draining after it was all done "incubating." Over 2 cups, almost 3. A half gallon of milk is 8 cups. And presumably a bunch of moisture left the yogurt in the form of steam, too.

    Total output and a spoonful:

How did you drain the yogurt?

Just dumped it into a colander lined with cheesecloth, set it over a large bowl in the fridge for 3-4 hours.
