I really can't believe we're back to talking about video games and mass shootings as if it was a cause and effect scenario.

The US is not an outlier in violent crime per capita:

...and that serves to make our non-outlier level of violent crime far more lethal. Meanwhile,

There's zero correlation between video games and violent gun deaths:

I can already hear the enlightened Trumpublican whining that yes, we have more gun violence because we have more guns, but the issue is video games causing violence! If it weren't for video games, there'd be less violence overall!

Well, Japan spends more on video games (chart 3), but has far less violent crime (chart 1). The UK spends less on video games, but has more violent crime. There's just no connection. Everybody has video games, everybody has violence. Our violence just sucks more, as a direct result of all our guns.
