Man, that whole debate was about who could run furthest to the left fastest.

Not explicitly Debacle related, but I will probably check out this illustrated version of the Mueller report in the coming days.

I read it. There were a few nuggets that connected dots I was aware of, but I feel good knowing that there wasn't much I hadn't already known from other's coverage.

Favorite moment from today's Mueller hearings:

The astonished murmur in the room is hilarious.

EDIT: I listened to most of the hearing on the radio, so I didn't get to see this lady's face. Watch her closely on the right side of the frame, in the background. She's surprised when this question gets asked, and she's pretty satisfied by the answer:

Okay Dems, can we do something about this now? Even just the people polling over 1% would still be a field of ten candidates.

    1. 31.8 Biden
    2. 16.4 Sanders
    3. 15.2 Warren
    4. 10.6 Harris
    5. 5.8 Buttigieg
    6. 3.0 O'Rourke
    7. 1.6 Booker
    8. 1.6 Yang
    9. 1.0 Gabbard
    10. 1.0 Castro
    11. 0.8 Delaney
    12. 0.8 Steyer
    13. 0.6 Ryan
    14. 0.6 Klobuchar
    15. 0.4 Williamson
    16. 0.4 Gillibrand
    17. 0.2 Hickenlooper
    18. 0.2 de Blasio
    19. 0.2 Bullock
    20. 0.0 Bennet

I really can't believe we're back to talking about video games and mass shootings as if it was a cause and effect scenario.

This Vox page has a lot of great info, but I think the three most important charts are...

The US is not an outlier in violent crime per capita:

    crimez.png

The US definitely is an outlier in number of guns per capita:

    gunz.png

...and that serves to make our non-outlier level of violent crime far more lethal. Meanwhile,

There's zero correlation between video games and violent gun deaths:

I can already hear the enlightened Trumpublican whining that yes, we have more gun violence because we have more guns, but the issue is video games causing violence! If it weren't for video games, there'd be less violence overall!

Well, Japan spends more on video games (chart 3), but has far less violent crime (chart 1). The UK spends less on video games, but has more violent crime. There's just no connection. Everybody has video games, everybody has violence. Our violence just sucks more, as a direct result of all our guns.
