The Walking Dead (TV/graphic comic)

If you like zombies, and/or if you ever thought having an ongoing zombie-based TV series makes for good entertainment, then you are probably already aware of this show and have been watching it since it aired on Halloween.

This is so far a great TV series stemming from a comic series that is still being written. The show aires on AMC at 10 EST and runs 1 hour. There are encore perfomances of the episodes typically throughout the week and usually they'll replay the previous episode before the newest episode.

It was only booked as a 6-episode miniseries, but it looks like it's been picked up for another 13 episodes! Woohoo!

As far as my memory serves me, the shows have done a fantastic job of putting the comic onto the TV. So far it hasn't pulled any punches. From what I read of the comic series, I have to believe at some point (around issue 20 for sure- maybe earlier) they'll have to rewrite some of what goes on Like this one bandit leader guy getting his penis nailed to a board by this woman he was beating and raping.. We'll see.

My friend is bugging me to watch this, so I went to AMC. The first episode is available, so based on the first 19 minutes, I am going to like this a lot.

Have watched the first episode and have the 2nd and 3rd (maybe i think) waiting in the torrent downloads folder. Really enjoyed episode one and hoping to get to the other two shortly.

I got these last weekend and watched 2-6. I'd go as high a 10 on some episodes, and as low as a 6 on some. It is strange seeing zombie show longer than 1.5 hours. I'd call this "Lost" with zombies, too many characters IMO. Don't get me wrong, I'll be jakked for Season 2, but love triangles have no business in zombie shows. Plus 2 of the main characters are overactors, they need to work on their facial expressions before thier eyeball erupt from thier skull caves.

But hearing "shit" on TV, seeing a babe getting it doggy style, and guts and brains all over the place on TV will keep me tuned in.

I read the first few graphic novels once upon a time. When the artist swap occurred, I lost interest. But I bought the first season of the show on DVD a week ago and look forward to watching it.

I finally watched the rest of season 1 this past weekend while my wife was out of town. It was as good as I remembered the first episode from watching it last summer at Mac's house.

I find it a bit funny that they seem almost more terrified of other healthy people than of any of the "geeks".
