    Humble Bundle #2

Presumably you recall the last "Humble Bundle." It was awesome. It included Aquaria, Gish, Lugaru, Penumbra: Overture, and World of Goo.

Well, now it's time for Humble Bundle #2, and frankly, this set of games is even more impressive, because it includes Braid and Machinarium. The other three games could be nonfunctional copies of Duck Hunt and I'd still recommend the bundle on the strength of those first two.

Luckily, the other three games are not nonfunctional copies of Duck Hunt; they're Osmos, Cortex Command, and Revenge of the Titans.

Cortex Command is "still in development" and honestly I'm not sure they should have tossed it into the bundle just yet. It needs work. Seems like it shows promise, but it's a bit early right now.

Osmos is... great. I love it. Farting my way around the board, absorbing cells into myself. Wheee!

Revenge of the Titans is a REALLY good tower defense style game. So far the difficulty doesn't seem to be scaling up much, but I'm only through the first two worlds (Earth and the Moon). We'll see how things go from here. The game has a lot of polish, though.

And speaking of polish, Braid! GOD DAMN IF YOU DON'T HAVE BRAID YET, I WILL KILL YOU. Go get the freaking bundle.

And finally, Machinarium, which was on my Steam wishlist before they made it part of the bundle. It's a really good adventure game. No dialogue, so the puzzles are a little more "Myst"-like in feel than they are "Ben There, Dan That"-like.

All the games from the first bundle, and 3 of the 5 in this new bundle (so far), are available on Steam -- and if you buy them as part of the bundle, you'll get a key, and you can activate them through Steam! Kind of nice, given that it means Valve is forgoing whatever their cut of Steam games normally is to facilitate a cool charity.
