Sort of. The issue seems to be if you move your mouse at any point during the mining of a block, the server gets confused and doesn't think you've actually mined the block. The solution is not to move your mouse while mining. For faster things, like digging dirt with a diamond shovel, it's best if you click for each block you want to remove rather than holding down the button.

After hearing about this "solution" on the minecraft forums I haven't had much issue with respawning blocks.

Yea, that's the solution I've used as well. I don't hold down the button anymore and just re-click my mouse for each block and things work just fine. It's a touch slower, but not having the respawn crap is worthwhile.

Oh, and here's hoping he doesn't fix fall damage before I finish this big-ass cathedral.

Are there any plots left for me? If so what's the easiest way for a noob to find it?

There's a map very near the spawn point with the areas and signposts with who owns each. If you can find an empty one you can take it. or you can create one beyond current claimed area

Thanks and the areas are divided by tracks?

Somewhat. Beyond the initial four sections the dividing track lines have pretty much been created by those who own the squares. I know some people have laid tracks and marked off their areas, but some have not. We've been setting up torches every 25 squares as a guide. The areas currently start at the existing laid track in the 5 wide tunnel. That does mean that the 12 squares outside the initial 4 are shorted by 4 tiles on their inner border, but oh well.

Mind posting an updated map on the site every week or so?

Is there a guideline for track building? I was thinking of doing the unfinished boundaries of my plot if I get bored.

Current consensus is that Cartograph (the only mapping software that works in linux) deletes your map files upon completion. So I'll be working on a workaround for that problem.

The guideline I've been using is go 3 blocks high and mark every 25 squares with torches on both sides of the track. You start counting the 25 out with the first square after an intersection and when you mark square 200 from where you started, you place the intersection for the opposite direction on what would be square 201. That make any sense?
