What should I watch next? - the suggestion thread!

Using Netflix ... I've recently watched Sherlock, Dollhouse, and Doctor Who. What should I watch next?

- another fun BBC series?
- classic sci-fi I haven't seen yet?
- something new?

Sure Netflix suggests things but I'm not sure I buy it.

Anybody watched Alphas?

Have you seen Battlestar Galactica yet? It's pretty good.

My wife just got caught up on Bones and loves that.

The old ABC show "Dinosaurs" just came out on Netflix as well. Nostalgia!

Breaking Bad, Babylon 5, Mad Men, Dexter, Farscape, Weeds...

Weird, Weeds is on Netflix, but Dexter isn't.

Hey I was going to start one of these. A lot of the hour shows I watched have gone off the air. The only ones left that I watch are Castle, Dexter, Doctor Who and Fringe, two of which are done after this year. I'm looking for something my wife will watch so not Breaking Bad or Walking Dead for sure.
I've read some good stuff about Alphas so I may give that a try. I'm also going to check out Falling Skies. I tried to watch Revolution but it was kinda meh and it didn't fill the Lost shaped hole in my heart.

If you're not set on hour drama/scifi things I would check out Coupling (Stephen Moffat!!) or any of the Mitchel and Web series.

Ugh, Weeds. Don't watch more than the first 3-4 seasons. it's a good show, but it went on waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay tooooooooooooooooooo looooooooooooooooooooooooooong.

If you're not set on hour drama/scifi things I would check out Coupling (Stephen Moffat!!) or any of the Mitchel and Web series.

I wholeheartedly endorse anything by Mitchell and Webb. Or Fry and Laurie, for that matter. Coupling was okay. The IT Crowd is great.

Need to watch Castle myself... is it on Netflix or Hulu?

Hey I love fringe! I watched 7 out of 8 seasons of Weeds and it felt like the last 2 seasons I watched I was just watching to see what happened, not because I was actually enjoying the show.

I think Fringe has recovered some of its swagger, but there was a long period where the writers didn't seem to understand that they were writing a television show, and instead dropped refrigerators on themselves while they watched LOST.
