That's hilarious. There's even a real Change.org petition (which frankly doesn't speak well of the legitimacy of Change.org petitions) with 51 signatures!
After 2 years 3 months of waiting, I finally got the call today that my Tesla Model 3 is ready to be shipped!
I am super excited!!!!
Very cool! does it just drive itself to your house now?
I've got a coworker with a Model 3, it's pretty cool. He got the extended range battery, but honestly, for the price... $9,000 to take you from 220->310 miles... I don't know what decision I'd make, personally.
Well if I was going to be "logical" about it I would never even consider buying the car. Every buyer realizes the price we're paying includes a premium for helping Tesla survive and prove a point. And maybe help change the world in a small way.
Other than that, I have yet to read of anyone who bought one and regretted their choice, so I think I'll be good.
Why is he even at a gas station!?!?
I feel like people are staring at me when I have to get gas in my Volt. "Oh look, Mr too good for gas needs some gas". Probably not though, I don't think most people even know how the Volt works.
Fuel cost! I figured out my kWh used over the previous 12 months and multiplied it by my electricity rate (~$0.16 incl. fees/taxes) and got my fuel cost. Approximately $336/yr or $28/mo. Averaged out over the year of course. Winter definitely uses more power in battery conditioning and heating. Based on the same mileage in the Honda CR-V that we sold I would have spent about $950 at today's gas price, plus all the other ICE maintenance. So far my Leaf maintenance is $0.
Gnorloin have you figured out any similar numbers? I'm curious about the BEV/PHEV comparison.
